LICH

Since its founding in 1858, Long Island College Hospital (LICH) has had an impressive history of important innovations in patient care. Today we continue to serve the people of Brooklyn, as well as patients from the entire metropolitan area, with the most up-to-date treatments and compassionate service.

A $63 milllion renovation program, now nearing completion, attests to our commitment to the community and to our mission of pursuing excellence in patient care, professional education, and clinical research. Our new, state-of-the-art facilities include ambulatory care, emergency services, a cardiac catheterization laboratory, obstetrics/gynecology services with home-like birthing suites, inpatient facilities, and a surgical suite. Donations provide a lifeline for these initiatives and for many ongoing programs.
