Volunteer Opportunities

St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center

Those who wish to volunteer in Harlem or midtown Manhattan may do so through St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center. We are in great need of volunteers throughout the year to help provide support to patients in a variety of ways. You can volunteer your time in patient-focused or non-patient positions which include the following:

Language interpreters

Lobby host and greeter
Library assistant to read to patients and/or deliver books
Visit patients in various departments such as pediatrics and patients with AIDS
Organize events, assist departments with light clerical needs
Unit volunteers to be assigned a department and assist patients with eating and reading
Chaplaincy program
Volunteers for our elderly patients arrange social events, visit and keep them company
ER volunteers act as liasons between patients and their families

Regardless of your particular area(s) of interest, the volunteer department at St. Luke's-Roosevelt strives to match your interests with the needs of the site.

How to Volunteer

If you wish to volunteer, you must be at least 14 years of age. Individuals between 14-18 must provide working papers.
