Summary:
The standard of care for advanced ovarian cancer is platinum-based chemotherapy (such as carboplatin or cisplatin).  This research is being done to find out if paclitaxel (an approved drug for treatment of advanced ovarian cancer) works better when given with an investigational drug called MORAb-003 (farletuzumab).  MORAb-003 is designed to act like an antibody (an important part of the immune system that fights infections) which targets cancer cells.

Eligibility and Treatment Plan:

  • Only subjects who are platinum resistant (condition has worsened within 6 months of receiving platinum treatment) or platinum refractory (condition has not improved or has worsened since receiving platinum treatment).
  • Female subjects ≥18 years of age.
  • Must have been treated initially with surgery and first or second-line platinum-based chemotherapy.
  • Subjects must be a candidate for repeat paclitaxel treatment.
  • Must have relapsed during or within 6 months of first or second-line platinum-containing chemotherapy. At least one of the lines of chemotherapy must have included a taxane.
