Phase III Double-Blind Placebo-Controlled Trial Of Conventional Concurrent Chemoradiation And Adjuvant Temozolomide Plus Bevacizumab Versus Conventional Concurrent Chemoradiation And Adjuvant Temozolomide In Patients with Newly Diagnosed Glioblastoma.

Summary:
The standard of care treatment for patients with glioblastoma is chemotherapy with radiation. Temozolomide is the drug given during chemotherapy. The main goal of this study is to determine whether the adding another medication, called bevacizumab to temozolomide and radiation improves health and/or survival. Bevacizumab is currently given with other chemotherapy drugs for other types of cancer.


Eligibility and Treatment Plan:

  • Age 18  and older
  • Proven diagnosis of glioblastoma or gliosarcoma.
  • Good kidney function and liver function.
  •  For females negative pregnancy test within 14 days prior to registration
