Summary:
This study will examine genetic, environmental and cultural factors
of conditions such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease, a leading cause of death in the United
States.
Twins of all weights, ages, backgrounds, and twin types are eligible
to participate. Two levels of participation are available:
- Participation via mail questionnaires.
- Twins within the surrounding New York area may visit our laboratories
for a free health screening and body composition testing. We also provide genetic typing blood tests free of charge
to those who visit our center to determine if twins are identical or fraternal.
